The Mie prefecture in Japan has always been home to many famous Ceramic manufacturers. In 2005 four of these manufacturers, specialized in Bankoyaki Ceramics, decided to join forces and establish a new company called 4th-market. 4th-market take it's name from the city of Yokkaichi where it is located. Yokkaichi means "market on the fourth day". Bankoyaki ceramic is on of the most important local industries in Yokkaichi city. Founded by Anders Fardig, Design House Stockholm started as a creative product development company for other brands in 1992. Using his vast knowledge in design management from prior experience managing companies such as Boda Nova and hoganas, Fardig created a network of independent designers that remains the platform from which we operate today. In 1997 the Design House Stockholm product collection was launched, starting with Harri Koskinen's Block Lamp that immediately became a worldwide success. The Block Lamp has remained one of our top selling products to this day, and is represented in MoMA's permanent design collection.
We have distinguished ourselves as a publisher of design rather than a conventional producer, working in the same way with designers that publishing houses work with authors. Rather than selecting a designer to make a specific product, all designers are invited to bring their personal ideas, of which some are selected for development and production. We look for products that add something new to their genre, products with personality and character. Our collection does not have any specified boundaries - if a products is considered good enough and realistic to produce, we develop ot. No matterif it is a mug, a chair, a couture collection or a piece of jewelry. The ambition is to be a mirror of the very best Scandinavian design today - the term 'Scandinavian' referring to a philosophic and aesthetic perspective, rather than geography and nationality. To gather a collection of design classics with timeless appeal and qualities that outlives temporary trends. These are the foundations od Design House Stockholm.
Like the purchased product throughly you want to from such a throught here introduces kitchen knowledge, how to contact you. May be shunned and pottery and wood products is difficult guests can enjoy that grow to know the nature of the material and give you easy maintenance and use. I would hope with fun and long with a daily.

The story about Kahler began in 1839, when the Holstein potter Herman J. Kahler opened a small ceramics workshop in the city of Naestved. How ever, it was not until his son, Herman A. Kahler, took over the workshop in 1875 that the ceramics adventure gathered speed.
With production of international art ceramis, the groundwork was laid for one of the greatest successes in Danish ceramics history. With handicraft experience passed down from generation to generation and great insight into the versatile moulding potential of clay, Kahler has now been at the cutting edge of Denish ceramic art for more than one hundred years.
Since its foundation in 1839, Kahler has been showing its works of art exhibitions and museums all over the world, and the vision is to restore Kahler is an internationally acclaimed ceramic workshop with a strong artistic inheritance.
Today, we take the best from our artistic ceramic heritage and interprect it in a contemporary light. The results are promising new ceramics with broad appeal in a timeless idiom, yet individuallt interpreted.
Let your day be filed with what inspires you.

SKANDINAVISK is 2 English chaps, Shaun and Gerry, who fell in love with 2 blonde Scandinavian girls over a decade ago. After each moving to the region, working for 2 big American multinationals and living between Copenhagen and Stockholm, we also fell gradually in love with the Scandinavian way of life - the focus on life's small moments, the priority of family over career, the cycle to the office, the home at 4pm, the raw nature, the endless summers. Its an enviable lifestyle that even the bitterest winter can't dilute (alright, 22 outside your door is a little too bitter). And we belive the absolute essence of Scandinavian lifestyle is right here - in the colour, light and warmth of a flickering candle flame and a glow that not only burrows deep through the waq, but one which nourishes the soul too. After all, Scandinavians use more candles than any other nation in the world. They use them morning, noon and night. 12 months a year. Because they know that a candle makes any moment softer, more informal, more cosy. And they are the world's happiest people, so we think that's something worth sharing. If you would like to drop us a line, we would love to hear from you. Shaun lives by the old Carlsberg brewery in Copenhagen and Gerry lives by the water on the way out to the arcchipelago in Stockholm.
